Happy Love Day!

Happy Love Day to all of our beautiful Diamond Pillar Gems!

Self-Love, and Self Care has been such a popular mantra over the past decade and all lot of Christians have frowned upon it because of how the world has perceived it to be a self-centered act of vanity and selfishness. But many of us failed to see how much it connects to our relationship with God.

God commands us to love others as we love ourselves. - Mark 12:31 - ‘The second is this ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. 'There is no commandment greater than these.’

Today we would like you to challenge you to change the narrative!

Are you loving others as you love yourself?

Are you showing love to your spouse/partner?

Are you showing love to your children/nieces, nephews?

Are you showing love at your workplace, your business clients, your school/university?

Can we truly love others as we love ourselves if we do not work on how we love ourselves?

5 Bible Verses which encourage self-love:

  1. 1 Peter 3:4 ‘Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.’

  2. Mark 12:31 - ‘The second is this ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. 'There is no commandment greater than these.’

  3. Ephesians 5:29 - After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church—

  4. Psalm 139:14 - ‘I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.’

  5. Luke 12:17 - Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Jesus paid the price for us because we are special, because we are worth that sacrifice.

If you have struggled with self-love, or life has taken a toll on you so much, you do not make time for self-care, we urge that from today, you make time to work on your inner worth and beauty as a Child of God, and choose to love others just as God chose to love you.

If you would like for us to pray with you please send us a prayer request and we will stand with you in prayer.

Stay Blessed!
