In the shadow of faith, the darkness of domestic violence can often seem insurmountable. Yet, within the Christian journey lies a beacon of hope, guiding those affected toward healing and liberation.

Domestic violence, a scourge affecting countless lives, challenges our understanding of God’s grace. In the face of such turmoil, it's easy to feel abandoned, questioning the presence of a loving God. However, through scripture, we find solace. Psalm 34:18 assures us that "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." In this promise, we find strength.

As believers, we are called to stand against injustice, to be the hands and feet of Christ in a broken world. Galatians 5:1 reminds us of our freedom in Christ, urging us to reject the chains of oppression. Through prayer, community support, and seeking professional help, victims can find the courage to break free from the cycle of abuse.

In the journey toward healing, forgiveness plays a pivotal role. Yet, forgiveness does not equate to reconciliation with the abuser. It means releasing the burden of resentment and finding peace in God’s unwavering love.

In the darkness of domestic violence, let us be the bearers of light, extending God’s grace to those in need, and fostering a sanctuary of love and healing within our communities.

Watch out for our upcoming movie Shades of Grace, which includes a storyline which is based on domestic violence. We hope you will be blessed. Check our homepage on where to purchase your ticket.

Happy Love Day to all of our beautiful Diamond Pillar Gems!

Self-Love, and Self Care has been such a popular mantra over the past decade and all lot of Christians have frowned upon it because of how the world has perceived it to be a self-centered act of vanity and selfishness. But many of us failed to see how much it connects to our relationship with God.

God commands us to love others as we love ourselves. - Mark 12:31 - ‘The second is this ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. 'There is no commandment greater than these.’

Today we would like you to challenge you to change the narrative!

Are you loving others as you love yourself?

Are you showing love to your spouse/partner?

Are you showing love to your children/nieces, nephews?

Are you showing love at your workplace, your business clients, your school/university?

Can we truly love others as we love ourselves if we do not work on how we love ourselves?

5 Bible Verses which encourage self-love:

  1. 1 Peter 3:4 ‘Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.’

  2. Mark 12:31 - ‘The second is this ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. 'There is no commandment greater than these.’

  3. Ephesians 5:29 - After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church—

  4. Psalm 139:14 - ‘I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.’

  5. Luke 12:17 - Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Jesus paid the price for us because we are special, because we are worth that sacrifice.

If you have struggled with self-love, or life has taken a toll on you so much, you do not make time for self-care, we urge that from today, you make time to work on your inner worth and beauty as a Child of God, and choose to love others just as God chose to love you.

If you would like for us to pray with you please send us a prayer request and we will stand with you in prayer.

Stay Blessed!
